Welcome to
South River
Lavender
A small farm and creative studio tucked in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California, between the Shenandoah Valley and Fair Play wine country. Lavender, flowers and herbs rise from the soil here and art is imagined in quiet conversation with the turning seasons.
I cultivate lavender, herbs, and flowers with mindful care, using low-impact methods that support the health of the soil and the wildlife around me.
South River Lavender, located on the South Fork of the Consumnes River, is part of the California Certified Wildlife Habitat program and is a pro-active member of local and national grower networks. From pollinator-friendly awareness, cultivating seasonal plants from seed to hand harvesting, everything I do is shaped by passion for the variety of plants that thrive during the changing seasons.

Farm & Art
Growing
In the Field
I grow English and French lavender, rosemary, sage, eucalyptus, basil, and thyme along with perennial and annual flowers from seed. Harvested by hand and bundled with care, lavender, flowers and herbs are sold at Amador County Farmers Markets and local seasonal events from May to December.
Creating
In the Studio
Oil paintings and charcoal drawings emerge from the rhythms of the Sierra Foothill seasons, inspired by natural forms, obscure objects of interest and the quiet beauty found in daily life on the farm.
Grow, Harvest, & Craft
I offer a seasonal collection of handmade goods, including:
Fresh-cut local flowers and herbs
Fresh cut and dried lavender bundles
Lavender wreaths & Sachets
Soaps made with essential oil distilled on the farm
Farm-distilled lavender, rosemary and eucalyptus essential oil
You can find me at local Amador County Farmers Markets and seasonal events from May through December. For specific market dates and locations, see our calendar below.
